Everything people ask before the coop shows up.

Start with two things: how many birds you have, and whether they free-range. The Raised Floor is our most ordered coop — a full-height walk-in run with the elevated coop above it, for 10–12 chickens at $4,695. The Double Walk-In is the original: a full-height 4′ × 6′ coop plus a full-height 6′ × 7′ enclosed run with signature steel-frame doors into both, for 8–10 chickens (up to 12 when free-ranging) at $3,995. The Homestead Pro is our largest, a stand-alone coop with no attached run that supports 20+ chickens when free-ranging, at $4,350. The Little Homestead is our smallest footprint at 4′ × 6′ — a stand-alone coop with no attached run that roosts 14–16 chickens, at $2,650. You can compare all four models side by side, and every one of them is available through rent-to-own or checkout financing.

The Raised Floor and the Double Walk-In. The Raised Floor gives you the most usable run space of any model — a full 6′ × 11′ of full-height walk-in run, with the coop elevated above it. The Double Walk-In pairs a full-height coop with a full-height 6′ × 7′ enclosed run. The Homestead Pro and Little Homestead are stand-alone coops with no attached run — they're roosting and nesting space only, built for free-ranging flocks and yards that already have an enclosed chicken yard or extended run. Raised Floor: 10–12 chickens. Double Walk-In: 8–10 chickens. Homestead Pro: 20+ when free-ranging. Little Homestead: roosts 14–16. The honest answer is that it depends on how much of the day your flock spends outside the coop. If your birds are shut in more of the time, they need daytime square footage as well as roosting space, and the lower end of the range is the right read. If they free-range most of the day, roosting and nesting capacity becomes the number that matters most — though plenty of families with free-ranging flocks still choose a model with an enclosed run, because it gives you somewhere secure to keep the birds when you're away for a weekend, when weather turns, or when a predator starts showing up. For roosting capacity, standard-size hens need roughly 8–10 inches of roost bar each and hens share a nesting box rather than needing one apiece. Every model ships with one exterior nesting box holding three 12″ × 12″ spaces, except the Homestead Pro with two. Almost all of them, yes — that's one reason the lineup is easy to compare. Standard footprint is 6′ × 11′ overall with roughly 5″ of skid overhang, and the roof peak is 7.5′. The Little Homestead is the exception at 4′ × 6′, and it still keeps the full-height roofline. Full dimensions for each model are on the coop models page.

Yes — every model is a true full-height walk-in with a 7.5′ roof peak and signature steel-frame doors. On the Raised Floor you walk into the full-height walk-in run, with the coop elevated above it; on the Double Walk-In you walk into both the coop and the run. Cleaning, egg collection, and checking on a bird never require crawling.

Yes. Every model is built to the same construction standard: kiln-dried cedar siding and trim, a pressure-treated frame on integrated 4×4 skids, signature steel-frame doors, heavy-duty 16GA black PVC-coated wire with ½″ × ½″ mesh, durable metal roofing, a Run-Chicken Bluetooth automatic coop door, and a weatherproof composite exterior nesting-box lid. Model layouts vary — the build standard does not.

Only the Raised Floor includes an elevated coop floor. It features nonporous Dura-Slat poultry flooring that increases airflow in summer and lets waste fall through for faster cleanout — it resists wear and won't absorb moisture or odor. Its removable rubber mat is still included: over the slats in winter for warmth, out in warmer months. Dura-Slat flooring is included with the Raised Floor only. All other models are designed to sit on a prepared base or level ground and use bedding in the coop and run areas — construction-grade sand, hemp, shavings, or whatever you prefer.

16GA black PVC-coated wire with ½″ × ½″ mesh — heavier and tighter than the poultry netting most coops ship with. The black coating adds corrosion resistance and visually disappears, so you see the flock and the cedar instead of the wire.

Kiln-dried cedar siding and trim, a pressure-treated frame on 4×4 skids, signature steel-frame doors, 16GA black PVC-coated wire, durable metal roofing, a Run-Chicken Bluetooth automatic chicken door, an acrylic-backed window (the Homestead Pro has two), solar lighting at every entry door, and a weatherproof composite exterior nesting-box lid with a lid hook.

It's a Run-Chicken Bluetooth automatic coop door. It opens and closes on its own schedule and you configure it from your phone, so the flock's daily routine isn't a manual trip to the coop at dawn and dusk.

No structure can be guaranteed 100% predator-proof under all conditions, and we won't claim otherwise. We build with 16GA black PVC-coated wire in ½″ × ½″ mesh, signature steel-frame doors, and strong latches — and we recommend routine inspection plus added perimeter protection if you're in a high-predator area.

Every model ships with one exterior nesting box holding three 12″ × 12″ spaces — except the Homestead Pro, which ships with two boxes for six spaces. The lid opens from outside the coop and the integrated hook holds it while you collect eggs.

Five. Two are new this year: the 4-Foot Run Extension (+$899), which adds 4 feet of run length on the Double Walk-In and Raised Floor — a 6×15 run footprint and a 16-foot roofline with the extension, limit one per coop — and the Roof Radiant Barrier (+$500), installed under the roof during the build to reflect the sun's heat before it builds up inside. It's available on any LynnLee coop. The other three work with any coop: an Additional Exterior Nesting Box (+$375), an Additional Automatic Chicken Door (+

50), and Heavy Duty D-Rings (+$75). Add them at checkout, or later as separate products.

Usually not. Three 12″ × 12″ spaces serve a surprising number of hens, because they share. If you're running a large or growing flock — or you'd simply rather not have hens waiting — the additional box is +$375.

Three, with no upcharge on any of them: Light Oak (Ready Seal® Natural, formerly sold as Light Oak) is the lightest pigment and lets the cedar's texture and grain read fully through a warm golden tone. Pecan is a honey brown that penetrates deeply and settles into the grain. Burnt Hickory is the deepest pigment Ready Seal® offers — bold dark brown with dramatic contrast, and the grain still shows. Yes. Every coop is pre-finished with Ready Seal® oil-based semi-transparent stain before delivery, so it arrives looking finished. Nothing to paint, seal, or coat on your end.

Cedar is naturally durable, and Ready Seal® is designed to be re-applied without stripping or sanding when you eventually want to refresh the color — one coat over a clean surface. How often depends on sun exposure and how much color you want to keep.

Yes. Coops are delivered fully assembled and placed using a rollback-style trailer — in most cases the coop slides straight off the back onto your prepared site. Delivery is free within the first 100 miles of Broken Arrow, and anything beyond is calculated automatically at checkout based on mileage.

Current turnaround is 1–2 weeks from order to delivery. We'll confirm a delivery window with you once your build is scheduled.

The simplest option is a level, well-drained spot — many customers set directly on the ground. For the cleanest long-term setup, most families build a level gravel pad with a thin layer of construction-grade sand on top. If you're laying a pad, work from the skid footprint rather than the nominal size: the full-size coops measure exactly 72″ × 142″ outside to outside including the skid overhang, with a 12-foot roofline, so we recommend building the pad around 7′ × 13′ — a few inches of margin on every side keeps the skids fully supported and lets water drain away instead of pooling at the edge. The Little Homestead needs far less at a 4′ × 6′ nominal footprint. Remember the roof extends past the walls, so check fences, eaves, and overhanging limbs before you set your corners. Please plan for a pickup truck plus trailer around 45′ long and up to about 11′ high. Watch for low branches and lines, narrow gates, tight turns, soft ground, and steep transitions. If you're not sure your access works, send photos of the approach before delivery day and we'll look at it with you.

Yes. Every coop is built on integrated 4×4 skids, so it can be repositioned with a tractor or truck. Add Heavy Duty D-Rings (+$75) if you expect to move it more than once — they give you solid attachment points for pulling.

Listed prices are for the coop itself. Delivery is free for the first 100 miles from Broken Arrow; beyond that it's calculated automatically at checkout by mileage. Applicable tax is calculated at checkout as well.

Easier than a coop you have to crouch into — that's most of the reason we build them full height. You walk in standing up with a rake or shovel. On the Raised Floor, waste falls through the Dura-Slat flooring reached through a half-height steel clean-out door, without crawling in.

Construction-grade sand, hemp, or pine shavings all work well — use what's easy to get where you live. On the Raised Floor, the slatted floor means less bedding overall; put the removable rubber mat over the slats in winter for warmth and take it out in warmer months.

They're built for them. Wire panels and the acrylic-backed window give cross-ventilation in heat, the metal roof sheds rain and hail without loose granules (add the Roof Radiant Barrier for +$500 if your coop sits in full sun), and the enclosed roosting area with the mat in place holds warmth in winter. Cedar and a pressure-treated frame handle the wet-dry cycle.

Yes — a solar exterior light at every entry door, so you have light where you walk in without trenching electrical service across the yard or connecting the coop to household power.
