FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes LynnLee Coops different?
A: LynnLee Coops are full-height, walk-in cedar coops built to feel like a real backyard outbuilding — not a temporary kit. We use solid materials, steel-framed doors, heavy-duty welded wire, and thoughtful layouts so daily care feels simple (and your coop looks right at home next to your house or garden).
Q: Where are LynnLee Coops made?
A: Every LynnLee Coop is handcrafted in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Q: What coop models do you offer?
A: Our current lineup includes:
  • Pioneer Raised Floor™ – Full-height walk-in with the most enclosed run space.
  • Pioneer Double Walk-In™ – Full-height coop + enclosed run with walk-in access to both areas.
  • Little Homestead™ – Stand-alone full-height walk-in coop for free-range or existing runs.
  • Homestead Pro™ – High-capacity full-height walk-in coop built for larger free-ranging flocks.

Q: What stain options are available?
A: We currently offer three stain options: Pecan, Light Oak, and Burnt Hickory. See photos here: Stain Options.
Q: Do all LynnLee coops have the same footprint?
A: Almost all of them, yes — that’s one reason our lineup is easy to compare.
  • Standard footprint: 6′ × 11′ overall
  • Skid overhang: approximately 5.5″
  • Height at roof peak: 7.5′ (Little Homestead also keeps the full-height roofline)
The Little Homestead™ is the exception with a smaller 4′ × 6′ footprint (still full-height). See all layouts: Coop Models.
Q: Do your coops have floors?
A: Only the Pioneer Raised Floor™ includes an elevated coop floor. All other LynnLee models are designed to sit on a prepared base (or level ground) and use bedding/substrate in the coop and run areas (for example: construction grade sand, hemp, shavings, or other preferred materials).
Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: Yes. Coops are delivered fully assembled and placed using a rollback-style trailer. In most cases, the coop slides straight off the back of the trailer onto your prepared site.
Q: How should I prepare my base or site?
A: The simplest option is a level, well-drained spot — many customers set directly on the ground. For the cleanest long-term setup, most families build a level gravel pad with a thin layer of construction-grade sand on top.
Q: What payment options do you offer?
A: We offer several ways to purchase:
  • Pay in Full at checkout (including Shop Pay and standard card options)
  • Checkout Financing on eligible orders
  • Rent-to-Own through our partner KLC Rentals (no credit check)

Coop Construction & Standard Features
Q: Are all LynnLee Coops built the same way?
A: Yes. Every LynnLee model is built with the same high-quality construction standards, including:
  • Kiln-dried cedar siding and trim
  • Pressure-treated frame with integrated 4×4 skids
  • Welded steel-framed walk-through doors
  • Black PVC-coated welded wire
  • Durable metal roofing
  • Bluetooth Automatic Run-Chicken Door
  • Weatherproof composite nesting box lid (industry-leading durability)
Model layouts vary — the build standard does not.
Q: Are LynnLee Coops predator-proof?
A: No structure can be guaranteed 100% predator-proof under all conditions. We build with heavy-duty wire, steel-framed doors, and strong latches, and we recommend routine inspection and added perimeter protection if you’re in a high-predator area.
Delivery Access & Placement
Q: What kind of access do you need for delivery?
A: Please plan for a pickup truck + trailer around 45′ long and up to ~11′ high. Watch for low branches/lines, narrow gates, tight turns, soft ground, and steep transitions.
Q: Can I pick up my coop instead?
A: For standard purchases, pickup can be arranged at our Broken Arrow location and we can forklift-load onto a properly rated trailer. Pickup is not available for Rent-to-Own orders.
Deposits, Cancellations & Refunds
Q: Are deposits refundable?
A: Deposits are refundable within 72 hours of placing your order. After that, deposits become non-refundable as materials, scheduling, and production planning begin.
Q: What if I need to cancel?
A: Orders canceled after planning/production has begun may be subject to a 20% restocking or resell fee, plus any non-recoverable costs. Orders that have been loaded or dispatched for delivery are considered final.

Q: What if I notice an issue after delivery?
